A ONU Brasil promover\u00e1 um workshop de tr\u00eas dias sobre o sistema internacional de prote\u00e7\u00e3o de direitos humanos, focado nos direitos dos povos ind\u00edgenas. O evento on-line \u00e9 aberto a ind\u00edgenas e n\u00e3o ind\u00edgenas e ser\u00e1 conduzido pelo Alto Comissariado das Na\u00e7\u00f5es Unidas para os Direitos Humanos. Ser\u00e3o oito horas de capacita\u00e7\u00e3o entre os dias 1\u00ba e 3 de mar\u00e7o de 2021 e as inscri\u00e7\u00f5es podem ser feitas at\u00e9 o dia 26 de fevereiro.
Liderado por Ro\u2019otsitsina Xavante e Alceu Karipuna, bolsistas ind\u00edgenas s\u00eanior da ONU Direitos Humanos no Brasil, o workshop visa oferecer um panorama sobre mecanismos internacionais de defesa dos direitos humanos. Para as pessoas ind\u00edgenas, o objetivo \u00e9 tamb\u00e9m proporcionar subs\u00eddios que permitam a essas popula\u00e7\u00f5es acompanhar e dar apoio a suas comunidades e organiza\u00e7\u00f5es na defesa de seus pr\u00f3prios direitos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cQueremos promover atividades exemplares de advocacy (defesa) com a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de lideran\u00e7as ind\u00edgenas, al\u00e9m de fortalecer a participa\u00e7\u00e3o de ind\u00edgenas e n\u00e3o ind\u00edgenas no \u00e2mbito da defesa dos direitos humanos desses povos e ampliar as redes de apoio\u201d, explica Ro\u2019otsitsina, respons\u00e1vel por um encontro com lideran\u00e7as ind\u00edgenas sob a mesma tem\u00e1tica<\/a> no final do ano passado.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n
