Em \u00e2mbito de compara\u00e7\u00e3o, a empresa explicou que a profundidade \u00e9 1,3 vezes maior do que o Monte Kilimanjaro, montanha mais alta da \u00c1frica, localizada na <a href=\"https:\/\/aventurasnahistoria.uol.com.br\/noticias\/historia-hoje\/na-tanzania-sete-pessoas-morrem-apos-consumir-tartaruga-venenosa.phtml\">Tanz\u00e2nia<\/a>.<br>A profundidade n\u00e3o foi o \u00fanico quesito em que novo po\u00e7o bateu recorde; para atingir o pr\u00e9-sal, a estatal superou a maior camada de sal j\u00e1 perfurada em territ\u00f3rio brasileiro, estimada em trecho de 4,85 mil metros, cerca de seis vezes a altura do maior pr\u00e9dio do mundo, o Burk Khalifa, no <a href=\"https:\/\/aventurasnahistoria.uol.com.br\/noticias\/historia-hoje\/apos-exames-ginecologicos-forcados-australia-cobra-posicionamento-do-qatar.phtml\">Qatar<\/a>.<br>Apesar de ser um po\u00e7o explorat\u00f3rio, ele n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 unicamente dedicado \u00e0 extra\u00e7\u00e3o de \u00f3leo, mas tamb\u00e9m an\u00e1lises geol\u00f3gicas das rochas perfuradas e presen\u00e7a de petr\u00f3leo ou g\u00e1s na \u00e1rea, al\u00e9m de estudar as press\u00f5es nelas existentes, de maneira a compreender o territ\u00f3rio ao redor para conhecer a bacia.
