Os peixes, batizados de <em>Hoplisoma noxium<\/em> e <em>Hoplisoma tenebrosum<\/em>, tiveram sua descri\u00e7\u00e3o taxon\u00f4mica detalhada em estudo \u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scielo.br\/j\/ni\/a\/yWbDFbRNcHN5zM5YBhNQHks\/?lang=en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">publicado<\/a>, no in\u00edcio deste m\u00eas, na revista Neotropical Ichthyology.<br>O artigo tamb\u00e9m apresenta uma ampla discuss\u00e3o sobre a rela\u00e7\u00e3o entre a anatomia do mesetimoide, um osso da cabe\u00e7a, e o formato do focinho dentro da subfam\u00edlia <em>Corydoradinae,<\/em> pequenos cascudos predadores de invertebrados. Segundo os pesquisadores, as modifica\u00e7\u00f5es relacionadas ao focinho t\u00eam um impacto direto na intera\u00e7\u00e3o dos peixes com o ambiente, especialmente em rela\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0 alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.ferrarimaquinas.com.br\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\" src=\"https:\/\/jornalfatosenoticias.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/02\/FERRARI_MAQUINAS-E-FERRAMENTAS2.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27860\"\/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A pesquisa revelou que o formato do focinho, por si s\u00f3, n\u00e3o \u00e9 t\u00e3o informativo quanto se pensava, com diferentes tipos de focinho ocorrendo independentemente nos diversos g\u00eaneros, indicando converg\u00eancia adaptativa, o que ocorre quando esp\u00e9cies que n\u00e3o s\u00e3o estreitamente relacionadas evoluem independentemente caracter\u00edsticas semelhantes como resultado de terem se adaptado a ambientes ou nichos ecol\u00f3gicos (fun\u00e7\u00f5es) semelhantes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"aligncenter size-large is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.legisjuris.com.br\/\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/jornalfatosenoticias.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Legis-Juris-Consultoria_logo.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-53915\" width=\"460\" height=\"193\" srcset=\"https:\/\/jornalfatosenoticias.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Legis-Juris-Consultoria_logo.jpg 969w, https:\/\/jornalfatosenoticias.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Legis-Juris-Consultoria_logo-300x126.jpg 300w, https:\/\/jornalfatosenoticias.com.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/Legis-Juris-Consultoria_logo-768x322.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 460px) 100vw, 460px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Outro achado durante a expedi\u00e7\u00e3o foi a constata\u00e7\u00e3o, atrav\u00e9s do conhecimento dos \u201cpiabeiros\u201d \u2014 ribeirinhos coletores de peixes ornamentais \u2014 que as duas novas esp\u00e9cies t\u00eam uma toxina extremamente forte, muito mais potente do que a de outras esp\u00e9cies de <em>Corydoradinae<\/em> conhecidas. Segundo os nativos da regi\u00e3o, ser \u201cespetado\u201d por esses peixes causa dor intensa, incha\u00e7o e vermelhid\u00e3o, e eles podem rapidamente matar outros peixes no mesmo recipiente de transporte, tornando a \u00e1gua leitosa e espumosa.
