A pol\u00edcia do Reino Unido prendeu o ex-pr\u00edncipe Andrew<\/strong><\/a> por m\u00e1 conduta em cargo p\u00fablico na manh\u00e3 desta quinta-feira (19). O membro da fam\u00edlia real brit\u00e2nica est\u00e1 no centro do esc\u00e2ndalo envolvendo abuso de menores e tr\u00e1fico sexual promovido por Jeffrey Epstein. Andrew<\/strong><\/a> perdeu o t\u00edtulo de pr\u00edncipe ano passado, ap\u00f3s uma s\u00e9rie de esc\u00e2ndalos envolvendo sua rela\u00e7\u00e3o com o milion\u00e1rio das finan\u00e7as preso por crimes sexuais em 2019. Apesar de n\u00e3o ser mais considerado pr\u00edncipe, ele ainda ocupa a oitava posi\u00e7\u00e3o<\/strong><\/a> na linha de sucess\u00e3o pelo trono da Inglaterra.
Por que o ex-pr\u00edncipe foi preso? Um dos pontos investigados pelas autoridades brit\u00e2nicas \u00e9 a possibilidade de Andrew ter repassado informa\u00e7\u00f5es confidenciais<\/strong><\/a> para o criminoso sexual. Ele teria entregado relat\u00f3rios comerciais potencialmente confidenciais de uma \u00e9poca em que ele era representante especial do Reino Unido para o Com\u00e9rcio Internacional. \u201cPodemos confirmar o recebimento desse relato e estamos avaliando as informa\u00e7\u00f5es de acordo com nossos procedimentos estabelecidos\u201d<\/em>, destacou a nota.
Um e-mail<\/a> acessado pela AFP deixou claro que Andrew repassou um documento com informa\u00e7\u00f5es sobre suas viagens ao Vietn\u00e3, Hong Kong, Shenzhen (na China) e Singapura. Epstein recebeu as informa\u00e7\u00f5es cerca de cinco minutos ap\u00f3s o pr\u00f3prio pr\u00edncipe t\u00ea-las recebido. Na troca de mensagens, Andrew aparece com o codinome The Duke, na \u00e9poca ele ocupava o cargo de Duque de York.<\/p>\n\n\n

O que disse o rei da Inglaterra ap\u00f3s a pris\u00e3o? O rei Charles III comentou<\/a> que “recebeu com a mais profunda preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o as not\u00edcias sobre Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor e a suspeita de m\u00e1 conduta em cargo p\u00fablico”. <\/em>O monarca<\/a> seguiu defendendo o trabalho das autoridades e defendeu que \u201ca lei deve seguir seu curso\u201d<\/em>. “O que se segue agora \u00e9 o processo completo, justo e adequado pelo qual esta quest\u00e3o ser\u00e1 investigada da maneira apropriada e pelas autoridades competentes\u2026 Nisso, como eu j\u00e1 disse antes, eles t\u00eam nosso total e sincero apoio e coopera\u00e7\u00e3o”<\/em><\/strong>, continuou.<\/p>\n\n\n
