O ministro Dario Durigan, da Fazenda, defendeu uma revis\u00e3o no m\u00e9todo de c\u00e1lculo da infla\u00e7\u00e3o brasileira, afirmando que os \u00edndices atuais podem n\u00e3o refletir adequadamente os novos h\u00e1bitos de consumo da popula\u00e7\u00e3o. A declara\u00e7\u00e3o ocorre em um momento em que o IPCA acumulado em 12 meses voltou a superar o teto da meta perseguida pelo Banco Central. Segundo Durigan, a metodologia utilizada hoje atribui peso excessivo a itens que perderam relev\u00e2ncia ao longo do tempo e subestima despesas que passaram a fazer parte da rotina dos brasileiros.
\u201cO nosso modelo, por exemplo, d\u00e1 peso para coisas que hoje n\u00e3o t\u00eam mais o peso que tinham anteriormente, e coisas que hoje t\u00eam peso, assinatura de streaming, servi\u00e7o de nuvem \u00e0s vezes j\u00e1 pesam muito mais do que algo que estava na metodologia h\u00e1 d\u00e9cadas\u201d, afirmou em entrevista ao podcast da Warren Investimentos publicado nesta segunda-feira (15).
A defesa pela mudan\u00e7a ocorre em meio \u00e0 divulga\u00e7\u00e3o dos dados de maio da infla\u00e7\u00e3o, que ficou em 0,58%, abaixo dos 0,67% registrados em abril, mas ainda assim o maior resultado para o m\u00eas em cinco anos. A press\u00e3o dos pre\u00e7os de alimentos e da energia el\u00e9trica contribuiu para o avan\u00e7o do indicador e fez o IPCA acumular uma alta de 4,72% em 12 meses, superior ao teto de 4,5% da meta do Banco Central.
Dario Durigan afirmou, ainda, ver com bons olhos um debate sobre poss\u00edveis aperfei\u00e7oamentos nos indicadores de infla\u00e7\u00e3o e tamb\u00e9m na metodologia do boletim Focus, divulgado semanalmente pelo Banco Central com as expectativas do mercado financeiro \u2014 entre elas a previs\u00e3o para a infla\u00e7\u00e3o do ano. \u201cSe h\u00e1 hoje uma constata\u00e7\u00e3o de que o Focus pode melhorar no sentido de dar mais dados, mais transpar\u00eancia, incluir eventualmente outros \u00edndices, eu acho importante que a gente avance para isso\u201d, pontuou.
Apesar de defender mudan\u00e7as nos crit\u00e9rios de medi\u00e7\u00e3o da infla\u00e7\u00e3o, Durigan afirmou que n\u00e3o pretende alterar a meta atualmente fixada em 3%. Ele tamb\u00e9m avaliou que o sistema de meta cont\u00ednua adotado pelo governo ainda n\u00e3o foi totalmente assimilado por parte da sociedade e dos especialistas.<\/p>\n\n\n

A discuss\u00e3o sobre mudan\u00e7as nos indicadores tamb\u00e9m j\u00e1 foi defendida por integrantes do governo, entre eles o vice-presidente Geraldo Alckmin<\/a> (PSB). Em meados de maio, ele defendeu que o Brasil deveria analisar modelos utilizados pelo Federal Reserve, banco central dos Estados Unidos, para a defini\u00e7\u00e3o da pol\u00edtica monet\u00e1ria. \u201cO problema que n\u00f3s temos \u00e9 essa taxa de juros absurdamente alta. N\u00f3s dever\u00edamos verificar o modelo do Federal Reserve, que exclui energia e alimenta\u00e7\u00e3o da an\u00e1lise da infla\u00e7\u00e3o para defini\u00e7\u00e3o da taxa de juros\u201d, declarou Alckmin.
